Germany to Pakistan and India on Motorcycle (BMW G310GS) Route Map

wildlensbyabrar-bmwg310gs-germany-to-pakistan-india

Route plan is probably one of the most important parts of this tour and I spent quite a lot of time trying to get the best out of this tour. My plan is to spend less time in Europe and spend more time in countries which I probably might not visit again considering I live in Germany and It will be easier to tour around Europe. I will start from Frankfurt, Germany and drive towards Austria before crossing into Slovenia, Balkans (Croatia, Montenegro and Albania) driving towards Turkey passing through Greece. I've planned around 10 days but maybe I spent a little more or less depending on the conditions I will face. Turkey is a great place to explore on a Motorcycle with an abundance of offroad trails and incredible places like Cappadocia. From Turkey, I will enter Kurdistan-Iraq and onwards to Iran where I will spend a few weeks before entering Central Asia and drive on Pamir Highway towards Kyrgyzstan which has been a dream of mine for years. Moreover, I have always dreamed of visiting Mongolia and now this will be a perfect opportunity to visit so I will continue towards Altai Russia and onwards Mongolia. My initial plan is to enter China from Mongolia but it might not be possible due to tour guide rules in china which is very expensive from Mongolia so I might come back to Kyrgyzstan and enter China from there and drive towards Khunjerab Pass, Pakistan. I will spend a couple of months at least in Pakistan and explore from North to South before entering India. In India, I would love to ride in Spiti, Leh and Ladakh before visiting Delhi and the iconic Taj Mahal in Agra.

Route Map

The countries that I will visit are

Germany - Austria - Slovenia - Croatia - Bosnia and Herzegovina - Montenegro - Albania - Greece - Turkey - Iraq - Iran - Turkmenistan - Uzbekistan - Tajikistan - Kyrgyzstan - Kazakhstan - Russia - Mongolia - China - Pakistan - India

Hey Abrar, salamalykum. I am Yaseen Khan from India (Mumbai). Nice to see your adv route crossing through several European countries and Balkans.
I am planing an overland ride from India to Uk, crossing Balkans on my KTM. I'll ship my bike to Bandar Abbas, from there I'll continue the overland journey. Currently, I am working on my website and Youtube channel. I Will keep you posted on my expedition.
If you need any help on Leh Ladakh trip do let me know.

Hey Yaseen, Walikum Salaam. Thank you I'm waiting for Covid-19 crisis to get better so I can start my tour. At the moment situation is only getting worse so not sure how long it will take. I applied for my Indian visa in February and planned to enter via Wagah Border in September but I haven't yet heard anything from Indian consulate. This could be due to current lockdowns. Would be great if I can get some help if needed for India Tour.
Best wishes for your tour and Stay safe!

Hi Abrar, salamalykum thanks for your mail. The situation is bad in India due to the current situation because of Covid-19. I don't want to discourage you but realistically they will not accept tourist, not before Aug or sept. Try to get your visa on your German passport, because you'll able to go to Nubra valley, Turtuk, Pangong lake. Also add Uttrakhand in your itinerary. That's one place you should visit. I usually go every year to Leh Ladakh.
Thanks and stay safe!
